Notes ......
From the publicity flyer (1999):
From the Program (1999):
| This has been an immensely enjoyable production to be
involved in; not least because of the cast. The play requires a fairly large group of 'mature' actors, and I have been fortunate in that Midland Players have such a superbly talented and massively experienced group of actors. Each one has brought with them a wealth of theatrical knowledge. Particularly noteworthy are Joan Dunn, who plays Nan, especially when she displays her vocal expertise; and Kay Massey, who plays Hattie, when she 'breaks' under police questioning. |

In an equally lovely bit of acting Maureen Battersby as Lady Alice and Val Kelsey as Bee almost come to blows as they battle for the attentions of the Brigadier. And the Brigadier himself (played by Peter Oxley) what a lovely mixture of mad dottiness and military acumen.
Midland Players' depth of experience allows for the 'smaller' parts to be played by very good actors too.
Of course, there is always a huge amount of organisation and preparation required and the society's production crew have triumphed as always. I do hope everyone enjoyed the play as much as I have enjoyed working on the production.
