Introduction
The Midland Players amateur dramatic society has been active in Sheffield for over 40 years. We  perform two plays each year in the University of Sheffield Drama Studio, and sometimes undertake other project in the summer.  Originally formed from Midland Bank staff,  we have for many years been an open group, welcoming all comers. New members are always welcome both on and off the stage.

Our Next Show  - Frankenstein by Tim Kelly, adapted from Mary Shelley's novel
Flyer very smallOur next show will run from the 19th to the 22nd February 2020. This atmospheric adaptation of the legendary novel focuses on the journey of a young Victor Frankenstein as he and his best friend Henry Clerval embark on the difficult enterprise of creating a companion for his lonely Creature. As the Creature grows in strength and ferocity, Victor descends into madness and must face the impossible choice of saving those closest to him or accepting his fate at the hands of his own disturbing creation.
Inspired by the first Victorian era stage adaptations, this production contains flashing lights, fake blood and gunshots.
