Introduction

The Midland Players amateur dramatic society has been active in Sheffield for over 30 years. We  perform two plays each year in the Sheffield University Drama Studio. Originally formed from Midland Bank staff,  we have for many years been an open group, welcoming all comers. Please explore our pages and photos to see our work.

Next Show - Tiptoe Through the Tombstones by Norman Robbins.

It will run from the 25th to the 28th of April 2012 at Sheffield University Studio on the corner of Glossop Road and Shearwood Road. Doors open 7:00pm. Curtain up 7:30pm.

Previous Production- Tom Jones, Henry Fielding’s comedy novel, adapted by Joan Macalpine

 

Our previous production was this rich, ripe and rowdy 18th century comedy,  one of England’s greatest comic creations. Brought bang-up to date with energy, humour and some 18th century hip-hop, this production will blew the cobwebs off the 200+ year-old story
