Go Back For Murder

Agatha Christie

How fallible is the human memory? That is the question at the centre of Christie's Go Back For Murder. When her mother dies in prison for murder, Carla Crale becomes fixated on the day of her father's death. Somehow, she knows her mother is innocent. Summoning the other five people there that day, she asks each of them to "Go Back", observing that fateful day through borrowed eyes. Maybe, just maybe, following the trails of false memories and misremembered facts, the true story of what happened will finally be unearthed.
